I understand individual differences and work together with you to improve your health and well being and help you move forward with your life no matter what your problems may be. Not only will you be listened to but you will be encouraged to move towards your goals in a positive and comfortable way.
I use my own “Think Different” technique to help you during therapy. I also understand individual differences, including cultural differences and how these can affect the issues you have.
What do I say when I contact you?
Don’t worry if you aren’t sure which service is best for you. We can have a discussion and decide what is best for you.

What is the difference between Counselling and Psychotherapy?
Counselling is where a problem is identified and the client and therapist work together to take positive steps to achieve change.
Psychotherapy can help with one or more problem that has built up over time and helps the client to deal with underlying thoughts and feelings. This is often more long-term compared to counselling.

How does Counselling and Psychotherapy work?
I want to help you improve your health and well being and enable you to reach your goals. I will listen to you and offer support to help you to explore your feelings or behaviours in a comfortable way.
Different techniques will be used to encourage you to Think Differently to move forward in a positive and healthy way, at your own pace.
There are a number of different techniques that can be used and these differ from client to client depending on individual needs and differences.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is NOT a state of deep sleep.
The therapist guides the client into a relaxed state by allowing them to focus on their thoughts and breathing. The client will reach a state of heightened awareness where the conscious mind becomes supressed and the subconscious mind is enhanced. Then the therapist is able to make suggestions to the client to help deal with issues such as fears, anxieties or bad habits. As the client you will be in control at all times, only by reaching a relaxed state will Hypnotherapy allow your therapist to encourage you to make the necessary changes.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different and moves through their issues at their own pace. I will review how you think the sessions are going and when you feel that you no longer need to continue, a plan for ending can be agreed.

What is an Initial Consultation?
An Initial Consultation is when we spend a little time talking or texting to find out what you need help with. During this time we can come up with a suitable plan for therapy which is tailor-made to suit you.
